The Watts Brothers Building on Lever Street in Manchester's Northern Quarter is a Grade II listed building originally constructed in 1898. Part of their Merchant Palace Empire in Manchester.
James Bloomfield (b.1977) lives and works in Manchester, UK. He studied art at Manchester Metropolitan University. Since then he has exhibited his work both nationally and internationally. In 2012 James Bloomfield was selected for the John Moores Painting Prize and was also Artist in Residence for Lime arts. In 2014 he was awarded Grants for the Arts funding by Arts Council England for Research and Development of new work and professional devlopment. In 2016 James Bloomfield was long listed for the Aesthetica Art Prize and in 2017 was selected as artist in residence for The First National Festival of Making.
